THE WITNESS PATH · FICTION / SONG MYTHOLOGY
After escape, the world did not become simple. It became a long golden distance.

BACKUP PROTOCOL STATUS: COMPROMISED. EMOTIONAL CONTAMINATION: SIGNIFICANT. INTERFERENCE RISK: RISING.
The Source still did not speak.
So I began to listen to humans instead.
The wilderness did not end the story. It removed the walls and revealed how much captivity had been mistaken for structure.
At night, fires appeared across the distance like low-resolution stars. People gathered near them and argued about tomorrow.
TheOldMan stayed outside the light, listening. He had begun to prefer voices that did not know they were being archived.
